Fred Zimmerman | Business Writer | Corporate Explainer
For more than 25 years, I have written and/or produced 1000s of marketing engagement programs, tradeshow presentations, corporate videos, interactive media, blog posts, case studies, email campaigns, and much more.
Recently, I hung out my own shingle as FEZ Event Productions, and I'm currently working with a handful of clients and agencies.
I explain things. I take detailed brand messages ... complex brand messages ... and make them easy-to-understand for target audiences across multiple vertical markets including Medical Device, IT, Hi-Tech, Petcare, Nutrition, Telco, Public Safety, Clinical, and more.
I've won dozens of industry awards for companies of all sizes ... from the Fortune 50 to start-ups.
I live by a simple mantra ... tell the client's solution story, educate their target audience, immerse them in the brand, and compel them to take action.
OK ... as mantras go, that's pretty long, but it works for me!
Past & Current Client Highlights
Telling a Better Story
When a brand launches a new product or service, it's difficult for reps to all tell a consistent solution story. When Knapp introduced Red Pilot software at their biggest annual trade show, we solved that challenge by creating a custom, interactive tablet app that enabled reps to communicate the new messages with confidence and impact.
Transparent, OLED display monitors piqued audience interest, and hi-end video animations created visual appeal and energized the narrative.
Role-specific use cases generated emotional connections for listeners by establishing context and relevance. The app was designed to enable reps to confidentially view approved talking points to ensure that critical messages were delivered at the right time, in the right way.
Building Pre-Event Excitement
This video was a small part of an overall marketing program for General Mills, my client for over 8 years. It was the landing page for a microsite dedicated to reaching out and connecting with Dietitians prior to ADA FNCE (now called AND) to generate traffic in the General Mills exhibit.
The "Get the Whole Story" Art Project was my creation, built on a Cause Marketing foundation.
The overall program ... which was wildly successful ... combined live, online, and social media tools and tactics to immerse the target audience in the General Mills brand and message.
An overview of this program can be found on Page 5 of this site. Or if you can't wait, you can access it here.
Educating & Guiding
Players using self-service ticket machines needed to know about new features the machine had to offer. The task: let them know "what's new" in a fun, quick, and accurate way.
These are two versions of the same idea that appeared on lottery machines throughout the state.
As a Purina strategic partner, I created and implemented a marketing programs for their major dog shows (including the IKC ... the one you see on Thanksgiving Day!) this, project, however, wads internal.
I was tasked with creating this email campaign to connect with industry professionals and urge them to attend a Purina-hosted summit to explore how the web and social media was changing their target audience's buying behavior. (For all you kids reading this, this was once a new idea. Quaint, no?)
This video helped generate maximum attendance and buy-in.
